The International Pancreatic Cancer Centre includes a host of medical specialists in the fields of radiology, oncology, radiotherapy and surgery, but also and particularly in the field of nursing care. Our core team members are introduced below.

Prof. Dr. med Dr. h.c. U.T. Hopt
Medical Director
is Medical Director of the Division of General and Visceral Surgery at the University of Freiburg Medical Centre Department of Surgery. He is a renowned specialist in pancreatic surgery who can draw on many years of comprehensive experience in the field of pancreatic surgery and the treatment of changes to the pancreas as part of his professorships at the universities of Rostock and (since 2001) Freiburg.

Prof. Dr. med. C. Unger
Medical Director
is Medical Director at the Tumour Biology Centre and an internationally renowned specialist in oncological treatment He is Clinical Director at the Tumour Biology Centre and a renowned specialist for the classical medical tumour therapy with chemotherapy, but also supportive of alternative treatment methods.

Ass. Prof. Dr. med. T. Keck
Consultant
is a consultant in the Division of General and Visceral Surgery of the University Medical Centre Department of Surgery, consultant in charge of pancreatic surgery and a specialist for pancreatic surgery. On your initial contact with the centre, he will advise you in the consultation on surgical treatment. Associate Professor Dr. Keck is head of the Pancreatic Cancer Centre.

Dr. Azemar
Consultant
is a consultant in the Tumour Biology Centre and specialist for the medical-oncological treatment of pancreatic tumours. On your initial contact with the centre, he will advise you on medical-oncological or supportive treatments as part of the interdisciplinary consultation.

Andrea Lubitz
Specialist Nurse
is a Specialist Oncology Nurse in charge of coordinating your treatment process from the initial registration in the first consultation to the planning of subsequent diagnostics and treatment. She remains your point of contacts throughout the entire treatment process.
